January 31, 2011 – Las Vegas, Nev. – American Casino & Entertainment Properties, LLC and Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower announce the following new hires and promotions to their executive staff.
Matthew Mascali has been promoted to Vice President, Food & Beverage for Stratosphere. Mascali’s hospitality career includes positions in California as General Manager of Paragon Steakhouse Restaurants, Director of Tourism for the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, Director of Operations for Rockin’ Baja Lobster and Assistant Food & Beverage Director for Viejas Casino in San Diego. In July 2008, Mascali joined Stratosphere as Beverage Director, and was promoted to F&B Director in 2009.
Steve Mann was named Vice President of Table Games for Stratosphere. Mann’s previous experience includes executive level positions at Harrah’s, MGM, Station Casinos and most recently with the Navegante Group managing the Sahara in Las Vegas.
Steve Klein has been promoted to Casino Controller for ACEP. Klein is responsible for compliance with the Gaming MICS and Regulations, Revenue Audit and Count Room functions. Klein’s casino career included positions at Castaways and Tropicana, as well as Director of Race & Sports at Santa Fe casinos prior to joining Stratosphere in 2000 as Revenue Auditor. He also held positions as Surveillance Investigator and Compliance Manager prior to this promotion.
Rachel Hunt has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Marketing at Stratosphere. Hunt’s casino career included marketing management and executive responsibilities with Boyd Gaming, Station Casinos and Ameristar Casinos. In her role as Corporate Director at Ameristar, Hunt led the development of a comprehensive Player Development and Asian Marketing program, as well as highly branded promotions and special events, at all properties.
Stephanie McHale brings 17 years of gaming experience to her new position as Director of Player Development at Stratosphere. During her career, Stephanie has held management positions with Argosy, Station Casinos and Ameristar Casinos in Kansas City, Missouri. In her most recent role as Corporate Player Development Manager, Stephanie oversaw brand‐ wide player development initiatives at Ameristar’s corporate office in Las Vegas.
